For over 9 years, I served as the Website Operations Manager for Brian’s Toys Inc., a small, yet very successful ecommerce company located in Fountain City, Wisconsin. As the Website Operations Manager, I regularly consulted with the CEO to develop and see-through strategic planning initiatives for the corporate websites, as well as to support and monitor online marketing related efforts, including organic search ranking traffic (SEO), PPC traffic derived from Google AdWords, and the utilization of Google Analytics to track website visitors, browsing habits, and conversion rates. In a nutshell, I oversaw nearly every facet of website design, customization, and maintenance relating to each of the company’s five websites over an 8 year period.
Earlier this year, I accepted a full-time contract position with Prairie Moon Nursery (Winona, MN). As Prairie Moon’s Website Manager, I immediately became responsible for selecting, implementing, and maintaining the company’s new shopping cart software (X-Cart). I also help to produce Prairie Moon’s online marketing material, including the company’s blog, as well as numerous short online videos, each of which have been published to 50+ video sharing websites, such as YouTube, MySpace Videos, etc. I also recently launched the Prairie Moon affiliate program to help further increase sales.
In terms of my abilities, I am very experienced with Adobe Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, and other software applications used for website and graphic design. I have worked with numerous website applications written in .PHP, ASP .NET, and .CGI scripts and I have years of .html and .css design experience. I am also very experienced with setting up and managing affiliate programs, both as an affiliate manager and as an affiliate. Finally, I am familiar with SQL databases and can perform relatively minor tasks, including the creation, editing, and back-up of existing databases.
